Data Deletion

Ask us to delete your CreatorFunds information or stop marketing. You do not need an account, a special form or a reason to withdraw marketing consent.

Send a request

Email mrdeansgate@gmail.com. Use “CreatorFunds data deletion request” as the subject if helpful. Requests also reach us at apply@creatorfunds.org.

This opens a draft in your email app. Nothing is sent until you send the email. If you use webmail, copy the address above and send your request there.

What to include

• The email address or social handle used when contacting us.
• The campaign and approximate submission date, if you know them.
• Whether you want all eligible records deleted, selected records removed, or only marketing stopped.

Send from the original email address if possible. Do not send passwords, full identity documents, bank details or unnecessary sensitive information. We will ask for limited verification only if we reasonably need to confirm who you are. Someone acting for you may need to show that you authorised them. We also recognise valid verbal requests and requests received through our other contact channels.

What happens next

1. We locate the relevant applications, messages and other records and assess the request.
2. We erase eligible information from the systems we control and ask relevant processors or recipients to act where the law requires this.
3. We confirm the outcome, including any information retained, the reason and the relevant retention criteria.

We respond without undue delay and normally within one calendar month. A legally permitted extension for complex or multiple requests can add up to two further months; we will explain it within the initial month. Necessary identity checks may affect when the period starts. Requests are normally free; any lawful exception will be explained.

Which information can be deleted?

This can include creator and campaign applications, contact enquiries, profile links, subscription details and related correspondence where the right to erasure applies. This includes Marvalous applications delivered through FormSubmit and the email copies we control, as well as submissions held in Netlify Forms.

Deletion is not absolute. We may need to retain limited records for legal obligations, disputes or other applicable statutory exceptions. A minimal marketing suppression record helps ensure we honour your opt-out. Restricted backup copies may remain until overwritten; where immediate removal is not practicable, we put the information beyond use and prevent its return to active use. We will explain relevant limitations.

Competition operators and social platforms

CreatorFunds cannot directly delete records held independently by a competition operator, social network or another website. For tickets or accounts purchased or created with Marvalous Competitions, contact the operator through its website. Removing our copy does not itself remove the operator’s records. If we have shared your information, we will notify recipients of erasure where required by law.

Stop marketing without deleting an application

Use an unsubscribe link where available or email us with “unsubscribe”. You can withdraw marketing consent or object to direct marketing at any time. This does not stop essential messages about an active application, collaboration or rights request.

If you are unhappy with our response

Email a privacy complaint. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days, investigate and communicate the outcome without undue delay. You can also complain to the ICO or seek a judicial remedy.
